The Ultimate Stress Reliever
Getting stressed out by your training schedule? Then here's a tip to keep stress at bay: make love beforehand. That's according to a new study (reported in New Scientist, no less) which monitored the private activity of dozens of men and women for several weeks, before putting them through stressful ordeals. Recent lovemaking made for calmer people, while those subjects who had abstained from sexual activity had the highest blood-pressure response to stressful situations. More

TOP STORIES

SJ were third in the Finch Coasters XC Sunday found dozens of Sandhurst members competing with those of the other clubs in the league on a cold but bright day. Some pictures from the day are to the right, many others can be found on the website as well as the provisional results – we remain on course for second place in the League and a place in the multi-area XC Finals later in the year.

The next XC is THIS SUNDAY (5th Feb) at The Look Out in Bracknell. Please arrive at the Car Park around 10:15 to meet up and get  your number from Wendy

Anything For The Committee? If you have anything you wish discussed by the Committee, now is your chance. The next Committee Meeting is the evening of Thursday 2nd Feb, so email the Committee to tell us what you
want from the club in 2006.

Club Member Of The Year Yes, it’s that time again. We’re rapidly heading for the End Of Year Dinner Dance and, as always, our Annual Awards. Who has contributed most this year? Who is you unsung (or indeed sung) hero? Please nominate a fellow member for Club Member Of The Year now with this form. Then email it to CMOTY@sandhurstjoggers.org.uk  Thanks.

Wear Your Kit With Pride Even as the evenings get lighter again it is important you are seen whilst out running. If you don’t have a reflective bib, please contact Wendy  who will happily sell you one. Also, please note that club kit is mandatory for the XC season, please don’t leave it until the last moment to buy some. Kit Order Form

Training For The London Marathon?

There’s plenty of people in the club running this year so talk with your fellow members and get a training partner, the miles fly by so much quicker.  You shouldn’t still need it, but there are training schedules on the website here.
