EDITOR'S WEBSITE CHOICE

Andy Leslie,

Online Editor

History in pictures
I honestly had no idea how many pictures were on the website until I just looked. More than 7,000 pictures are there, showing members old and new, from 1990 (when Wendy and I joined the club) to the present day. As the song says, “There are faces I remember…”. Many events are represented, from XC’s to Relays, to Marathons. Of course the social events are there too, showing not only do we have a good time running, but a boogie is fun too! More

TOP STORIES

A fire at Frogmore means that the building is still closed. Training runs next week will return to Frogmore at 7:30 pm from the lower car park (nearest the main road). No shower or other facilities will be available, although beer in the Swan afterwards will be!

Info on future runs will be on the website as soon as we have it.

19th Feb marks the annual Grizzly Training Run season – If you’re running the Grizzly this year, you should mark this date in your diary. See here for details

SJ were third in the Bracknell Forest XC.  No-one got lost this year as the Marshalls were nailed to the ground by the organisers. Sunday found Sandhurst members doing their Look Out Sunday run with a few more companions than usual.

Did you see the flotilla of carts and horses (left) careering at the start and just veering off in time?

Some pictures from the day are to the right, many others can be found on the website as well as the  results – we remain on course for second place in the League and a place in the multi-area XC Finals later in the year.

The next XC is Sunday 26th organised by the Metros. Please arrive at Frogmore Car Park at 9:00 to meet up and ‘convoy’.

Anything For The Committee? If you have anything you wish discussed by the Committee, now is your chance. The next Committee Meeting has been rearranged for the evening of Thursday 16nd Feb, so email the Committee to tell us what you want from the club in 2006.

Wear Your Kit With Pride. If you don’t have club kit, please contact Wendy  who will happily sell you one. Please note that club kit is mandatory for the XC season. Kit Order Form

Training For The London Marathon?

There’s plenty of people in the club running this year so talk with your fellow members and get a training partner, the miles fly by so much quicker.  You shouldn’t still need it, but there are training schedules on the website here.

Do You Want A Club Newsletter?

Simon Bone has resigned as Newsletter Editor, so, after the February Edition, no more Newsletter. Unless You Volunteer! That’s right; the Club needs your creative skills in editing the newsletter. Contact any Committee Member or Simon himself to find out what the job entails.
