Sandhurst Joggers Walking Group

"Walking is the nearest activity to perfect exercise".
Professor J Morris and Dr Adrianne Hardman, 1997
The walking group is aimed primarily at members who cannot currently run but who still seek moderate aerobic exercise. However any club member who is able to walk briskly for a couple of hours is welcome.
The group meets weekly for an off-road walk of five to six miles, probably taking between one and a half and two hours. Rough terrain, fences, stiles, puddles, mud, brambles and nettles may be encountered. It is a brisk, non-stop walk (more than just a stroll), so is not suitable for small children (unless they are in a papoose or good off-road buggy of the sort that can easily be lifted over stiles, fences, etc).
The group meets every Thursday morning at 9:30. The venue is different every week. All walks are predominately off-road, and all start and finish in the same place, where car-parking is available. All are within a few miles of Sandhurst. The walks will go ahead irrespective of weather.
The venue for each week's walk will be shown on right hand side of this page, with a link/map to the start location
The walks will initially be led by Ann and/or Rob Hewison, who would welcome your suggestions via: xcountry@sandhurstjoggers.org.uk
