Where: Sandhurst Sports Centre car park
When: 19:25
Type: Easy run
Leader: Patrick Wadsworth
Run as a group along a variety of routes of 5-6 miles, with everyone running at their own pace, and faster runners looping back to re-join the group at the back. This allows you to train hard if you want to or just take it steady and stay with the group.
These runs are very social as we try to run as a group, so you meet and chat with other members while running.

Please note that as these runs are intended to be an hour duration, in order to enjoy your run, you should be capable of running at least 6 miles in about an hour, or slightly more. Occasionally runs will be longer depending on the route chosen.
Ideally this run is run as an easy effort, slower than your 10k race pace with the emphasis on running as a group’. This run is a good opportunity for more established runners to part in a group activity with plenty of chat particularly about recent or upcoming races and training progress as well as plenty of hints and tips for less experienced members. The run takes place on set fixed routes. There is looping on these runs to ensure that no-one is left behind, but it is a continuous effort.
It can be extremely rewarding to lead a small group so please let the run leader know before a run if you’d like to volunteer to do so.
Runs are on road in the winter and off road in the summer. The distance is typically 6 miles (10 km) lasting about an hour.
Current led groups are suitable for those who can run 9min/mile.
The (winter) routes
There is a pool of well-known run routes that are selected from during the darker nights when daylight saving time is not in effect. During BST hours there is more variability as the runs move off-road and into the woods.
Details of the upcoming run are posted by the run leader to the Facebook group and usually posted on X (formerly Twitter) @SandhurstJogger.
Ellis Road
If there is one route that epitomises Sandhurst Joggers club runs it is Ellis Road.

There may be variations of the route which might be better suited to particular weather conditions.
