And Welcome! Gosh it’s exciting to see you all here! Let’s do this…
It’s been a long and arduous journey since the concept of this website was developed about a week ago (more or less – probably less) and many cups of tea have been consumed since then. (Mostly unrelated to this blog but I have been told that it’s important to connect to your readers and everyone loves tea).
The Joggers Journal is YOUR blog. We realised that the newsletter could never really keep up with all the exciting events (running and otherwise…) that you sporty lot were doing, so this is our answer. The all singing and mostly dancing in heels, Sandhurst Joggers online newspaper!
From here you will be able to find the latest race reports, news updates, club inside gossip and other articles on all things SJ.
We want this to be your go to site when you’re trying to avoid work or when you are looking for another a very valid excuse not to go for a run.
We hope to bring you race reports for different authors and reviews of runs to places other than the A30. We would also like you to get involved. Here are some up and coming regular features;
- The Professor’s corner – go take a look at the top of the page to find out more about this. The Prof will be periodically answering all your running questions.
- Photograph competition – running in an interesting place? Seen something beautiful/interesting/weird (other runner’s do not count) on a recent run? – take a photograph and send it to us to add to the gallery. We will award someone the ‘photograph of the season’ prize. Which might just be featuring on this blog – a prize surely worth the endeavour? Start sending me your photographs now to get involved.
- Review time – reviews of all things ‘not races’. So equipment, food, clothing etc.
And if you’ve got something you’d really like to write about then jot it down and send it to me- we’d like this to be all about you lot!
Keep running!

So exciting to see this up and running! As I’m now (mostly) based in Bath I just keep an eye on the SJ Facebook page, but now there’s this!… Wooo hoo
Beanie xx
Hi Beanie that’s great! Hopefully I can give you a little SJ fix whilst you’re away. Let us know if there’s anything you’d like me to write about. Perhaps you can give us a ‘run review’ of a nice route around Bath ;-)??
It’s looking good, Nikki! Well done on getting it set up so quickly! Let start posting guys!!
