Finally, the Sandhurst Joggers Annual Ball took place!
This has been a work in progress since November 2019, has been re-scheduled 4 times and looked as though it would never take place, but we got there in the end, and what a great night it turned out to be.
Andrea and I would just like to thank you all for having the faith in us to attend, initially I thought I was at the wrong function since I did not recognise anyone, but then I detected a faint whiff of something in the air, ah “hint of Deep Heat” whether this was required for injury prevention during the dancing, or to save time in the morning before Park Run, who knows?
For anyone unable to attend, we had a raffle with prizes donated by various organisations, we were able to award a prize to one person on each table, they were:
2 Free Race entries to a Saturn Running event, Free entry to the Yateley 10k series 2022, a pamper box thanks to Claire Rowse, 1 hours sports massage from JSM Therapies in Yateley, 4 £25 gift vouchers for Alton sports with a further £30 voucher to be used in the purchase of shoes and a £25 gift voucher kindly donated by The Hive, Coffee and Craft Beer shop in Crowthorne. Did you know that if you visit The Hive and tell them you are a member of Sandhurst Joggers you will receive 10% off your coffee and cake!
We had planned a small quiz, with 20,000 calories as prizes in the form of M & S chocolates, but everyone seemed to be having such a good time (as you will see when you browse the photos) we decided to keep this for another time and just eat the chocolates ourselves, only joking, but they did not go to waste I can assure you.
Well that’s enough from me, I want to thank you all for coming along and making this night a great success, we only did the organising, you lovely people made it happen.
